Spending the day with family and friends waterskiing on Shaver or Huntington Lakes is very popular with folks from as far away as the Central Coast. Let's fact it, on a hot summer's day, it's alot cooler above 5,000 feet. Give it a try!

Although you can drive up from the valley for the day, why not come up for the weekend or maybe spend your vacation in our great backyard.

Aside from waterskiing these lakes also provide numerous opportunities for canoeing, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, kayaking and house boating.

Several local businesses will rent equipment so you can enjoy waterskiing. Some will provide someone to help you and others learn how to safely drive a ski boat and to learn how to waterski.

Water SkiingShaver Lake is located about 55 miles east of Fresno, on State Highway 168. The lake is located in the Sierra National Forest, at an elevation of 5,370 feet. Huntington Lake is another 20 miles north at an elevation of around 7,500 feet.
